Family Lawyers Pakistan provides advice and representation for people facing matrimonial disputes, child-related proceedings and financial claims. Our practice draws on legal experience dating back to 1985 through Mohsin Ali Shah, Chairman of Qanoon Group and now a consulting lawyer who assigns each matter to the right advocate, the senior counsel of Syed Akhtar Rizvi and Fiaz Ahmed Khakh, Advocates Supreme Court, and the family-law leadership of Sobia Mohsin in Karachi.
The work includes divorce and Khula, custody and guardianship, visitation, maintenance, dower, dowry recovery, Family Court litigation and the appropriate appeal or enforcement proceedings. We also assist with marriage and divorce records and Pakistan-side coordination for overseas clients.
Advice Built around the Actual Record
We begin with the facts and documents. The marriage record, current residence, available evidence and existing orders help identify which law and forum apply. Different forms of dissolution, different financial rights and different child-related orders should not be treated as one interchangeable process.
Our objective is to explain the options in language a client can use to make a decision. Where a lawful settlement is appropriate, we can help define workable terms. Where proceedings are needed, preparation focuses on the requested relief, the evidence and compliance with the court’s directions.
Professional Standards in Sensitive Matters
Family cases involve personal information and important relationships. We approach instructions carefully and encourage clients to provide complete records, including documents that may appear unfavourable. A clear account allows more reliable advice than unsupported allegations or a selective extract from the file.
We do not present a fee as a purchase of a guaranteed court outcome. The scope of advice, drafting, representation and any later work should be agreed clearly. Clients should understand which expenses and additional stages are included before instructions proceed.

Our consultation presence includes Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Partner offices support matters in Faisalabad and Hyderabad. The appropriate handling arrangement is confirmed from the city, court and type of matter.
Overseas clients can begin with a concise account and document review. The need for a power of attorney, personal participation, attestation or foreign legal advice is assessed for the specific step. Office visits are arranged by appointment through the Pakistan Legal Helpline (WhatsApp).
